There are a lot of reasons as to why you should be optimistic when selling your home in 2018. Tier 1 Real Estate in Bristol Connecticut’s top real estate agent and CEO Ryan D. Smith shares his thoughts as to why you should be optimistic when selling your home in 2018.

At a national level from Nov 2016 – Nov 2017 there was a 17% price appreciation in the real estate market. Which was the largest annual increase since 2006.

The demand for housing is very strong due to a powerful economy, strong stock market, and low unemployment rate.

The supply is for housing is still not caught up from a construction standpoint to meet the demand. The construction industry really ramped up a lot in 2017 in terms of the number of people employed n the industry and the spending.

The top two cities in price appreciation were LA and NY. Respectively, there is a lot of demand to work in these cities because of the nature of the available work. The West Coast has a much larger demand for real estate than the East Coast but the East Coast is on the rise.

If you’re thinking about selling your home, 2018 is a great year to start putting your house on the market. The market price will only continue to rise as there is more free cash flow flowing around in the real estate market.
